Road to Zion

The first time we saw Israel we were only passing through in 1975.  Standing, looking at the mountains that surround Jerusalem as the sun set, we fell in love with the country. Little did we know G-d would lead us back there to live in 1978. During the 10 plus years we lived in and around Tel Aviv we started attending a local Messianic congregation.  That totally changed our lives and the way we saw scripture.

We began to understand scripture differently. We saw connections between the Hebrew bible (more commonly known as Old Testament) and the Messianic Scripture (New Testament) that we had never known before.  When we read Matthew 25 we realized when Yeshua was talking about “my brethren” He, first and foremost meant His Jewish brothers and sisters.

When we read Isaiah 49:22, “Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders,” we knew G-d was calling us, as Gentiles, to help do this very thing.  Our logo represents this verse.  In the last 25 years we have taken groups to Israel to repair apartments of victims of terror, single moms and Holocaust survivors. In the last 10 years we have been helping Jewish Ethiopian families that are immigrating to Israel.  These people have had difficult adjustments, learning the language, finding employment, getting an education.  G-d has led us to help these people who have waited for years to leave Ethiopia and return to their homeland.  We thank our Heavenly Father that He is allowing us to have a small part in fulfilling Isaiah 49. This is our way of bringing the sons and daughters of Israel back home.
